Mission
Our mission is to glorify the one and only triune God through engaging in community with other Christian homeschool families. We seek to bring mothers and children together to lovingly encourage, educate, and equip our children in a Christ-centered community. We seek to steadfastly disciple our children and ourselves within the context of home education and the mother-child relationship. Our hope is that our children will go into the world, knowing the truths of what they have been taught and will make disciples as we have been called to do.
Isaiah 66:13a
Proverbs 31:26 & 28
Vision
Our vision is to grow in our faith, and place in our children the seeds of faith that will grow throughout their lifetime. Knowing that we are sinful, weak, and inherently fallen in our human nature, we see a future where sin runs rampant all the more but where our children rise up against it. In our homes, we see families brought together by the love of Christ and the hope of his atonement for those who truly seek him and persevere in their faith through both inward and outward displays of faith. One of these displays is choosing to follow God's calling in our lives to homeschool and disciple our children.
Mark 7:21-23
Deuteronomy 5:33
Values
We know we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone, for the glory of God alone. Thus, we seek to integrate and develop a true faith in our children, rather than one of storybook Bibles and false conversions, and to grow our own faith and dedication to God. We value:
Community with other believers
Discipleship among believers and of believers' children
The sanctity and truth of the Word of God and especially the accounts of Christ's birth, life, death, burial, and resurrection
A quality education for our children, not rooted in industrialism or modern atheism & paganism.
Matthew 18:20
Ephesians 2:8-9
“Train up a child in the way should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” -Proverbs 22:6
Community
The definition of community is vague by the world's standards. A gathering of people. The Bible's definition of community is specific and beautiful. Go read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 for example! Or step into the book of Acts to see the example of a community given to us. Finally, seek out the meaning in 1 Corinthians 1:10. Not that we all hold the same opinions on everything, but that we all believe in the true basic tenets of our faith and what is found in the Word of God. See our Statement of Faith to understand where we primarily sit on these issues.
Discipleship
The Bible specifically instructs believers to go and make disciples. This includes our children and the children of those around us. We believe that it does not take a village to raise children, but a community of like-minded, Bible-believing, truth-speaking parents within the Church (the big C church, not just your local church, although that is often a great place to find other parents or mentors). Discipleship isn't just reading stories from the Bible to your children but training them up in the ways of the Lord. For a more in-depth look at discipleship, click here or here.
